“Criminal Minds” The Good Earth (2012) S08E05

Yet another police procedural.  I don’t get the whole genre. This particular episode is weird and dark.  Four men are held captive in a barn in inhuman conditions by a mother whose purposes are not clear.   If anyone wants to watch the episode and explain it to me, great.  The reality and darkness of the scenes is distracting.  At least one of the actors appears to be quite a looker, however.

First-rate historical drama television series on The History Channel.  It manages to both spurt testosterone from the TV screen while also featuring interesting, intelligent, women.  The first extended drama from the 790s.  Many of the male actors provide plenty of mutton-cake.  This episode features a full on crucifixion of an apostate priest who integrated into Viking society and was then recaptured by the English.  The actor who plays the priest is not one of the roughest men on the scene, but still provides some nice prime-time bondage.
